Marc has been around theatres since the age of 10. The first I can remember is running a pattern 93 follow spot at a small 200 seater theatre in Nottingham. At the age of 16 Marc left school and took up an apprentice with the technical team at the Nottingham Playhouse where he stood all branches of the show from lighting sound crew or even up in the rig flying clothes or scenery

After graduating Marc spent 5 years on the road working many shows including Chess and Les Miserable. He also spent 2 years with the royal ballet (Pushing flight cases not dancing) before taking a break to have a family.

After 20 years away managing a multi million project replacing lock gates(for British Waterways) he decided to get back into the industry. Starting small he worked for many festivals, circus and theatre companies

Mills and Son Stage Services started when Marc and his eldest son started working together in 2016. Marc looks after technical issues while Matthew takes care of Stage Management and works in a partnership with his father as the lighting design team for many shows, musicals and pantomimes.

The company goes from strength to strength and currently holds £40,000 of assets to help its customers for fill their dreams.
