Travelling Circus Time Table

Time table Day 1

8.00am Measure out site and mark out location of the tent. Position Lorries used as anchors for the tent
9.00am Drive 84 Tent pegs (3ft long) and layout main tent poles, install pennants, lighting and rigging for stage equipment
9.45am Power supply to winch motors. Raise the King Posts ensuring they are true and locked off
10.30am Raise the centre cross bar and tent roof
11.30am Install side posts and adjust tent to ensure true and tight.
11.30am Technical team to unload equipment and start laying services inside the tent
1.00pm Main team break for lunch Technical team continue install cables, house lights and battery maintained emergency lighting to legal requirements
2.00pm Main team install seating, ring floor, catering, ring boxes and ring fences. Technical team install lighting on king post, over the main entrance, speakers power distribution to the site including 32 amp feed for catering
4.00pm Main team to install side walls of the tent, artist rigging, props ,costumes and curtains to make the artists entrance  (Ring Doors) to the ring. Technical team to install and test control point including lighting DMX and Dimmers, Sound system (6 speakers, amps, 2 radio mics, lap top and mixer). Connect control systems for house lights, working lights, ring boxes and communications.
6.00pm Main Team Finish. Technical team secure cables to prevent trips, focus lighting, sound check and test run the show.
8.30pm Technical team finishes

Time table Day 2
​
8.00 Generator Maintenance including fluids and fuel checks, record keeping and power distribution equipment repairs (Run stand by generator to ensure it will function when needed)
9.30am Provide support for artists who wish to rehearse their acts
12.01pm power up catering including fryers water heaters candy floss and pop corn machines
1.30pm Install TVs and run advertising power points ready for the show
2.00pm General maintenance
3.00pm Change into show wear, pre-set and pre show music
3.15pm Doors open and greet guests for first show
4.00pm First show
6.00pm Reset for second show
6.15pm Meet guests for second show
7.00pm Second show
8.30pm strip down and pack lighting, sound and tent power distribution
9.30pm Main team lowers tent and packs it for transport. Technical team control winches to decommission tent. Withdraw site power in stages until the only thing left is power for work lights
11.00pm Technical team load flight cases, lighting, sound king pole lighting, power distribution, ladders and any thing left into trucks
12.30am Power generation turned off and main cables loaded into lorries
1.00am Convey leaves site
3.00 to 4.00am Convey arrives on new site
4.00am Power cables laid out and hooked up to site lighting, accommodation for 30 people, freezers and welfare
4.30. Generator checks, fluids levels earth connection and hours run recorded
5.00am Power up generator, ensure everything is working then bed
