Pyrotechnics
Pyrotechnics are one of the most impressive but dangerous stage special effects. The team include several members who have been trained and considered competent by Le Maitre (The leading Manufacturer of stage effect in the country) and Marc is a member of the Association of Stage Technicians.
The main type used are Le Maitre plug in pods. These are plug in pods which are eclectically fired and are quickly reloadable
They can produce smoke, stars, flame, flashes and curtains in various colour

WE also carry air burst pyrotechnics. They come in several colours and shapes.
They need a minimum clearance of 1.5 metres from the ground.
They are also electrically fired using the same equipment as the flash pod range

The third type are Marrons. They again come in small to extra large.
Marrons produce a loud explosion with no flame or smoke.
Because of the forces involved they need to be fired in a "Bomb Tank" which holds any flying debris

What They Do
Theatre Flash comes in small to Large size
This video show the large in action with an indication of the Size of the effect and the noise it makes.
You can also order it in Silver, Gold and Red. They are ideal for Panto for Good fairy's entrances or electrical shorts

As you can hear once they have been fired they make a noise. If required they can also be purchased with a louder report to add dramatic effect
For a different kind of smoke effects tor
you can use Le Maitre smoke pods

These are fitted to same firing system that we use for the Le Maitre Theatre Flash

The advantage with these is that you pick the colour of smoke and the duration you need the effect to burn for.

The dis advantage is that they are a chemical reaction so once you have started the burn it will not stop until it is complete
Again you use the same detinator to fire these Pyrotechnics. You can choose the type of content from single colour confetti, multi coloured confetti metalic chaff or glitter

THey are designed to throw the confetti from above so as you can see from the video you need two metres of head room from the stage floor but I would personnel go for three metres if people are standing below them when discharged
Maroons are as you can see from the video provide a loud bang but no smoke or flame. Because of their nature they need to be fired in a bomb tank ti hold any flying scrappnal.
Caustion should be used as they are very loud See the noise levels below
